Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Analyst, Business Systems to support AI, automation, and RPA initiatives within the BTS team. You will partner with R&D stakeholders, technology teams, data specialists, and solution developers to translate business needs into concrete requirements and actions.

The role emphasizes curiosity about emerging technologies, collaboration across business and technical groups, and hands-on experience with AI, LLMs, and automation in a regulated life sciences setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business, engineering, analytics, or related field.
• Ability to analyze business processes and communicate requirements clearly.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, project-based environment.
• Internships or entry-level work in business analysis, technology, data, or automation.
• Familiarity with AI, ML concepts, or large language models.
• Experience with Python, data manipulation, APIs, or automation.
• Exposure to RPA or workflow automation platforms.
• Experience with process mapping, Agile methods, or user story development.
• Familiarity with data concepts, databases, APIs, or system integrations.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, Power Automate, UiPath.
• Understanding of SDLC concepts and testing practices.
• Interest in regulated industries, life sciences, and healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies.
• Learns business processes around Global Therapeutics teams.
• Responds to questions from business users about system inputs and outputs.
• Develops detailed requirements, user stories, and data flows.
• Creates and maintains system documentation and change requests.
• Collaborates with technical and business teams to align plans and schedules.
