Oversees, plans and coordinates administrative and management services work to include various operational areas related to budget, accounting, legislative analysis, division director’s presentations, office support services to include equipment, facilities, purchasing and contract administration. Work requires contact with governmental agencies and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year per year basis.
Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Experience: 5 years management, business operations and administration and/or staff support functions. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.

The Rail Letting Section oversee planning, project development and agreements for TxDOT let projects impacted by railroads. RRD's Rail Grade Crossing Section administers funding and projects for improving rail highway crossings. The Rail Safety and Compliance Section participates with the Federal Railroad Administration and the Federal Transit Administration to enforce compliance with federal rail and transit regulations.
This position will be based in our new, state-of-the-art headquarters in South Austin.
