The Business Operations Manager plays a critical role in supporting the company’s growth and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the COO, this individual will oversee accounting processes, contract administration, KPI reporting, and cross‑departmental business operations. Key Responsibilities
- Accounting & Financial Operations: Manage day‑to‑day accounting functions including bank account management, payroll, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting and expense tracking. Assist with budget preparation, cash flow tracking, and variance analysis. Support the COO with financial forecasting.
- Contract Management: Maintain and organize all customer, vendor, and partner contracts within the company’s contract management system. Track renewals, expirations, and compliance requirements. Coordinate with legal counsel to ensure all contracts meet organizational requirements. Complete customer’s vendor onboarding process to meet customer’s compliance requirements. Support the proposal and procurement process, including RFP/RFQ documentation and submission tracking.
- KPI Reporting & Data Management: Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor operational and performance KPIs across finance, sales, engineering, member engagement and customer success. Consolidate data from multiple departments for monthly, quarterly and board reporting. Present findings and recommendations to the COO to drive informed decision‑making.
- General Business Management: Support internal process improvements across finance, sales and operations. Coordinate new employee onboarding, and vendor onboarding. Maintain internal policy documentation. Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives led by the COO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in business operations, accounting and contract management — ideally within SaaS, B2G or public‑sector‑focused environments.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, GAAP principles, and KPI reporting.
- Expert level knowledge with Salesforce, QuickBooks, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Google Workspace.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and written communication skills; comfortable presenting data to leadership.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.
