Job summary

Scale Up is seeking a Business Operations Associate for a fast-growing, tech-driven property management client. This 100% remote role follows US Pacific hours and requires native Spanish with fluent English. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive and execution-oriented.

You will automate workflows on AppFolio and related tech, document SOPs, onboard staff, lead special projects, own KPI targets, and build actionable models for founders.

Qualifications

Hey! We're Scale Up, and our client is looking for a Business Operations Associateto join a fast-growing, technology-driven property management company in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical, proactive, and execution-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex business problems, improving processes, and working directly with experienced entrepreneurs.

Work Modality: 100% Remote

Location: Latin America

Working Hours: US Pacific Time (PST/PDT) business hours

Company Background

Our client is a technology-driven property management company operating across Southern California in the US. They grew to 500+ units under management in under a year, representing over $20M in annual revenue across the properties in their portfolio, and they are continuing to grow exponentially.

Our client was founded by ex-MBB consultants (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) who became real estate developers. Between them they have started more than a dozen companies and raised over $50M in funding. They built the company after years of hiring property managers who could not hold their portfolio to the standard they held it to themselves.

Property management is an industry that still runs largely on phone calls, paper work orders, and institutional memory. Our client operates differently. AI agents triage maintenance requests, workflows are automated end to end, and a small, high-caliber team manages a portfolio that would conventionally require several times the headcount. They are looking for someone to help them build that system out.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the founders, you will support and lead work across the business in both a planning and an execution capacity:

• Automation and systems. Identify manual, repetitive, and error-prone work across the business and eliminate it. Design, build, test, and maintain workflows and AI-assisted processes on AppFolio and our client's wider technology stack.
• Training and enablement. Document processes into SOPs, build training materials, and onboard new team members.
• Special projects. Lead discrete initiatives such as new market entry, vendor negotiations, pricing analysis, portfolio migrations, and reporting overhauls.
• Operational excellence. Own KPI targets, identify where processes break down, and resolve root causes.
• Analysis and reporting. Build the models and reporting that inform founder decision making, and make clear recommendations.
• Team support. Coach and coordinate team members supporting your initiatives.

Profile

Required

• Native or fully bilingual Spanish, plus fluent professional English
• Based outside the United States and able to work US Pacific business hours
• Bachelor's degree (business, engineering, or economics preferred)
• Approximately 2 to 5 years of professional experience
• Track record of excellence across academic, extracurricular, and professional activities
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
• Project management experience and the ability to execute complex tasks independently
• Comfort with technology and fluency with AI tools

Preferred

• Experience at a leading management consulting firm or a rigorous corporate analyst program
• Experience in entrepreneurship or startups
• Experience with AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium, or similar property management platforms
• Experience with automation tooling (Zapier, Make, n8n), SQL, or Python
