Job summary

Aurora Valley Care Skilled Nursing & Rehab, a Caldera Care facility in Spokane Valley, WA, is seeking a dedicated Business Office Manager to lead financial operations and ensure accurate resident accounting. You will collate census data, maintain EHR financial records, manage accounts receivable, coordinate Medicare Advantage and Medicaid applications, and collaborate with the IDT to support resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in long term care facility preferred.
• Strong initiative to perform all tasks above expectation.
• Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Collates census information for all residents to ensure accurate and timely reporting in the EHR.
• Reconciles census on a daily basis.
• Inputs resident financial information into the EHR and maintains accurate and complete financial data for each resident.
• Timely collection of accounts receivable and follows up directly with slow payers.
• Maintains trust account records to include opening accounts for residents at their request and closing accounts at time of discharge.
• Provides statements for residents in a timely manner.
• Update company AR department on all resident liability, payors, and concerns with payment.
• Coordinate Medicare Advantage appeals process in accordance with corporate policy.
• Assist residents in applying to long term Medicaid services.
• Reviews monthly billing statements with MDS Specialist to ensure accuracy of reimbursement.
• Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) on resident care conferences.
• Discuss alternative solutions for non-payors with IDT.
