Job summary

Aurora Valley Care Skilled Nursing & Rehab, part of Caldera Care, is seeking a dedicated Business Office Manager in Spokane Valley, WA. You will lead billing, AR collections, and census reporting in our resident-focused facility, partnering with the IDT to ensure accurate financial data and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in long term care facility preferred.
• Strong initiative to perform all tasks above expectation.
• Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Collates census information for all residents for reporting in the EHR.
• Reconciles census daily.
• Inputs resident financial information into the EHR and maintains accurate data.
• Timely collection of accounts receivable and follow-up with slow payers.
• Maintains trust account records and discharges residents.
• Provides statements for residents promptly.
• Update AR department on resident liability and payment concerns.
• Coordinate Medicare Advantage appeals per policy.
• Assist residents in applying to Medicaid services.
• Reviews monthly billing statements with MDS Specialist for reimbursement accuracy.
• Collaborate with IDT on resident care conferences.
• Discuss alternatives for non-payors with IDT.
• Attend IDT meetings as necessary.
• Complete trainings as needed.

Wage: $28-31 DOE

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collates census information for all residents to ensure accurate and timely reporting in the EHR
• Reconciles census on a daily basis
• Inputs resident financial information into the EHR and maintains accurate and complete financial data for each resident
• Timely collection of accounts receivable and follows up directly with slow payers
• Maintains trust account records to include opening accounts for residents at their request and closing accounts at time of discharge
• Provides statements for residents in a timely manner
• Update company AR department on all resident liability, payors, and concerns with payment
• Coordinate Medicare Advantage appeals process in accordance with corporate policy
• Assist residents in applying to long term Medicaid services
• Reviews monthly billing statements with MDS Specialist to ensure accuracy of reimbursement
• Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) on resident care conferences
• Discuss alternative solutions for non-payors with IDT

Additional Duties

• Attend all IDT meetings as necessary
• Complete trainings as needed
