Major Responsibilities
- Manage the business office department for a skilled nursing facility.
- Lead and coordinate billing, collections, resident trust accounting, and accounts payable.
- Supervise, hire, and train business office staff.
- Ensure adequate staffing to minimize coverage gaps.
- Manage resident trust accounting and ensure security of patient funds.
- Oversee patient billing for accuracy and coordinate with other departments.
- Manage accounts receivable balances, including Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, and private payers.
- Handle front-end and back-end collections of A/R balances.
- Manage Medicaid application and conversion processes.
- Perform month-end billing system closing.
- Process charges, adjustments, refunds, and write-offs accurately and timely.
- Ensure timely processing of patient bills and collection letters.
- Support the Central Billing Office with billing information.
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and timely.
- Contribute to system and process improvements for better results.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (1-2 years in a Skilled Nursing Facility business office preferred).
- Specific experience in billing, collecting, and patient trust accounting.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with Point Click Care (PCC) and RFMS systems preferred.
- Must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated.
Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 per year
