Job description

Join to apply for the Business Office Manager role at Cedar Village Assisted Living & Memory Care.

Frontier Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Business Office Manager to join the Cedar Village Assisted Living & Memory Care community located in Salem, OR. Demonstrated success as a leader in similar settings is required.

The Business Office Manager assists the Executive Director in ensuring that all functional areas required to operate the community are covered at all times. The primary duties include managing accounting and bookkeeping, overseeing resident payments, updating systems, and supporting staff.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Greet visitors and direct inquiries positively and professionally.
  2. Answer phones, accept messages, and provide backup to the receptionist.
  3. Maintain positive relations with residents, families, staff, and guests.
  4. Conduct marketing tours and organize meals as appropriate.
  5. Participate in recruiting, interviewing, evaluating, and supervising receptionist staff.
  6. Assist with pre-employment screening of new hires.
  7. Handle mail distribution and update communication boards.
  8. Manage resident payments, update A/R system, and monitor past due rents.
  9. Maintain files for residents, employees, and other business records.
  10. Prepare semi-monthly payroll reports and submit hours for processing.
  11. Update employee information in the intranet.
  12. Coordinate with Staff Accounting to ensure smooth A/P, A/R, and payroll processes.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic clerical skills including typing, filing, light bookkeeping, and computer proficiency.
  • Conflict resolution skills and a positive attitude towards working with the elderly.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain good interpersonal relations.
