Ideal ABOM candidates will have the following:
  • Collections experience
  • Previous experience in a nursing facility is preferred
  • An understanding of Medicare auditing
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask efficiently
Your day-to-day responsibilities:

As an ABOM, you will oversee billing functions in accordance with current accounting, cost reimbursement, and legislative guidelines related to the long-term care industry. Your duties will include:

  • Performing general business office responsibilities, including cash receipts, billing, patient rights, safety, and accounting functions
  • Assisting with effective management and oversight of bookkeeping functions
  • Completing the Medicare Triple Check audit tool monthly prior to billing Medicare claims
  • Performing other duties as assigned
