Job summary

Pedder Auto Group in Moreno Valley, CA is seeking an experienced Automotive Business Office Manager to join our leadership team. This high-impact role focuses on automotive accounting, dealership operations, and team leadership to drive financial accuracy and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of automotive dealership accounting experience.
  • Experience as a Business Office Manager (BOM) required.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive accounting processes and compliance requirements.
  • Proven leadership experience managing office/accounting teams.
  • High-level proficiency in financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) preferred (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all automotive dealership accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, DMV processing, and deal posting.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 4–6 office staff and accounting professionals.
  • Partner directly with the CFO and General Manager on financial strategy and operational execution.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and dealership regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized deal jackets, contracts, and financial documentation.
  • Oversee cash management, reconciliations, and flooring schedules.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, schedule reviews, and tax filings.
  • Drive cost control, margin improvement, and financial accuracy across the dealership.
  • Support leadership with financial analysis and reporting insights.
