Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Business Management Manager 2 in California, reporting to the Senior Business Manager. The role oversees three operating units, driving financial planning, forecasting, and strategic initiatives while guiding a team of analysts within a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities include budgeting, variance analysis, and support for proposals, with a focus on affordability, controls, and ROI. A DoD Secret security clearance is preferred or required in some cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 8 years of industry related experience in finance, accounting, or program control.
• Master’s degree with 6 years of experience; 12 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with budgeting, financial planning, and Annual Operating Plan development.
• Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct management to a team of Business Management analysts.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting with the ability to clearly communicate and present data to senior management.
• Develop short- and long-term business strategies and key line forecasting, through the monthly indicated final process, Annual Operating Plan, and the Long-Range Strategic Plan.
• Lead affordability initiatives for the OUs, including developing and managing indirect rates, budgets, and investment needs.
• Manage risks with multiple contract vehicles and revenue recognition.
• Support proposal development from RFP to award, including basis of estimate review, rate strategy, and cash management.
• Develop and presenting detailed business cases and return on investment analyses.
• Mentor junior Business Managers and develop professional and management talent within the operating unit.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, controls, and audits.
