Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives across our Texas offices. You will build client relationships, generate leads, and coordinate marketing efforts while aligning BD activities with organizational goals.

You will mentor junior BD staff, develop strategic plans, and collaborate with engineering and operations to pursue opportunities and ensure successful client interactions.

Qualifications

• 4 years of related experience with a degree or 8 years of related experience without a degree.
• BS in Business Administration, Marketing, or similar, preferred.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS or on its behalf.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented and responsible.
• Ability to work in teams and independently with clients and peers.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Understanding of prioritizing and urgency in consulting.

Responsibilities

• Leads business development activities to support growth objectives.
• Develops client relationships, generates leads, and coordinates marketing efforts.
• Collaborates with technical and operational leaders to identify opportunities.
• Mentors junior BD staff and coordinates internal communications.
• Develops strategic plans and budgets for business development.
• Identifies conference, industry, and award opportunities.
• Reports to supervisor to help prioritize tasks weekly.
• Coordinates content for email, social media, marketing campaigns, website, and conferences.
• Performs market research to understand served markets and industries.
• Maintains databases, generates leads, and follows up with clients.
• Attends professional associations and networking groups.
