Job summary

HungryPanda in Davis, CA is seeking a proactive Business Development Associate to acquire merchants and drive higher order GMV. You will arrange face-to-face meetings to negotiate contracts and coordinate with Marketing and Delivery Ops to align growth strategies.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in business development or sales in foodservice/delivery, Mandarin fluency, and strong time/project management skills. A valid driver’s license and vehicle are required for on-site merchant visits.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in Mandarin.
• At least 1 year of experience in business development or sales roles in the foodservice or delivery industry is a plus.
• Strong time management and project management skills.
• High sensitivity to market trends and data.
• Strong commercial acumen and a desire to work with restaurants; not afraid of rejection; strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent teamwork; able to coordinate with different teams to promote business cooperation; capable of negotiating independently.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle.

Main Duties and Responsibilities：

• Acquire merchants and assist them in achieving higher orders and GMV (Gross merchandise volume), Responsible for the Sales revenue and market share.
• Arrange in-person meetings to negotiate contracts with potential merchants
• Maintain existing relationships with cooperating merchants, coordinate and resolve issues with various stakeholders, continuously improve merchant satisfaction and merchant service quality, and ensure fluent business operations
• Conduct regular merchant visits, apply for/replace merchant material for merchants.
• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
• Maintain and constantly update backstage setting for each merchant in charge
• Liaising with Marketing, and Delivery Operation to align strategies aimed at increasing Gross merchandise volume

Job requirement：

• Must be fluent in Mandarin
• at least 1 year of experience in business development or sales roles and customer experience in the foodservice or/and delivery industry is a plus.
