Job summary

HungryPanda Ltd 熊猫外卖 is seeking a results-driven Business Development professional in California to recruit merchants and grow GMV. You will lead negotiations, visit merchants, and coordinate with Marketing and Delivery Operations to align strategies for growth while maintaining strong merchant relations.

Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential, and a valid driver’s license with a vehicle is preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Mandarin and English.
• 1 year of experience in business development or sales in foodservice or delivery is a plus.
• Strong time management and project management skills.
• High market sensitivity and data awareness.
• Strong commercial acumen and restaurant-focused instincts.

Responsibilities

• Acquire merchants and drive orders and GMV; responsible for sales revenue and market share.
• Arrange in-person meetings to negotiate contracts with potential merchants.
• Maintain relationships with merchants and resolve issues with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct regular merchant visits and update merchant materials.
• Ensure timely delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
• Maintain and update backstage settings for each merchant.
• Liaise with Marketing and Delivery Operations to align strategies to grow GMV.
• Must be fluent in Mandarin and English.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle.

Main Duties and Responsibilities：

• Acquire merchants and assist them in achieving higher orders and GMV (Gross merchandise volume), Responsible for the Sales revenue and market share
• Arrange in-person meetings to negotiate contracts with potential merchants
• Maintain existing relationships with cooperating merchants, coordinate and resolve issues with various stakeholders, continuously improve merchant satisfaction and merchant service quality, and ensure fluent business operations
• Conduct regular merchant visits, apply for/replace merchant material for merchants
• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
• Maintain and constantly update backstage setting for each merchant in charge
• Liaising with Marketing, and Delivery Operation to align strategies aimed at increasing Gross merchandise volume
• Must be fluent in Mandarin and English
• 1 years of experience in business development or sales roles and customer experience in the foodservice or/and delivery industry is a plus
• Strong time management and project management skills
• High sensitivity on market trend, high sensitivity on data
• Strong commercial acumen and a desire to work with restaurants, not afraid to be refused, have top-notch people skills
• Excellent teamwork ability, cooperate with different teams to promote business cooperation, and be able to efficiently complete business negotiations independently
