Job summary

PECA in South Carolina is seeking a highly organized Business Development, Sales Operations & Order Management Specialist to support its polymer manufacturing operations. This role covers the full customer lifecycle—from identifying prospective customers through quoting, purchase-order processing, production coordination, shipment, invoicing, and ongoing account development.

Because sales operations and order management are not currently a full-time dedicated position, this role combines those

Qualifications

Two+ years of experience in business development or a related commercial role.
Experience in manufacturing, plastics, polymers, or technical production environment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret customer orders, quotations, product specifications, drawings, and commercial terms.

Responsibilities

Identify and research prospective customers that could benefit from PECA’s polymer manufacturing capabilities.
Develop new business opportunities through outbound email, phone outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, and other prospecting activities.
Respond to inbound sales inquiries from prospective customers.
Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, accounting, and company leadership to develop pricing and delivery estimates.
Prepare, issue, and track customer quotations and maintain organized records of quotations and communications.
Maintain an active pipeline of prospects, quotations, and potential projects.
Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding quotations, orders, pricing, billing, shipment status, and general account questions.
