Job summary

TPx in the United States seeks a Business Development Representative to prospect and nurture a pipeline for TPx's cloud-based products and services. You will collaborate with Marketing to drive revenue, execute outreach campaigns, and support calling efforts as part of the sales process.

The role requires 2+ years in sales, strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills. You will work with the Marketing and Sales teams to convert prospects into opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of sales experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong time management; able to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of online communications tools and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage campaigns and cadences to identify Sales Qualified Leads.
  • Initiate contact with prospects via cold-calling and inquiries.
  • Develop sales strategies to attract new customers.
  • Identify pain points and business fit.
  • Convey how TPx products meet communication goals.
  • Schedule discovery meetings between leads and Account Executives.
  • Foster relationships to qualify interest.
  • Meet monthly/quarterly/annual appointment-setting goals.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to optimize call scripts.
  • Track and report marketing qualification in Salesforce.
  • Maintain and enrich Salesforce database.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

General Purpose

The Business Development Representative is responsible for calling on a pipeline of customer prospects for TPx's cloud-based products and services. This position works closely with Marketing and other sales/business development groups to achieve success metrics, drive revenue gains, and execute outreach strategies. This role supplements email/messaging business development via calling campaigns.

This position works closely with Marketing and other sales/business development groups to achieve success metrics, drive revenue gains, and execute outreach strategies. This role supplements email/messaging business development via calling campaigns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Manages campaigns and cadences to identify Sales Qualified Leads

  • Initiates contact with potential customers through cold-calling prospects who have been contacted via other business development methods, or responding to inquiries generated from advertisements

  • Develops sales strategies to draw in potential customers or to solicit new potential customers

  • Identifies pain points, priorities, and business compatibility

  • Conveys how products and solutions can help achieve business communication goals

  • Converts prospects to sales-qualified leads or opportunities for the sales team by scheduling discovery meetings between qualified leads and Account Executives or senior sales representatives

  • Fosters relationships with customers to identify their potential needs and qualify their interest

  • Meets or exceeds monthly, quarterly, and annual appointment-setting goals


Other Responsibilities


  • Collaborates with the Marketing team to write, test, and optimize call scripts and sequential follow-up communications

  • Tracks and reports marketing qualification within Salesforce

  • Helps maintain and enrich the Salesforce database

  • Performs other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in sales

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Strong time management skills: ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of online communications tools and applications


Other Qualifications


  • Experience in the technology/communications industry preferred

  • Knowledge of current demand generation tactics, marketing automation, and digital marketing tools, content syndication, webinars, paid social, affiliate marketing, and pay-per-lead programs preferred

  • Excellent project management skills preferred
