Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Business Development Representative to join our team in the Commercial Construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in B2B sales and a passion for driving business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions. This role requires a "hunter" mentality, the ability to manage a large territory, and the drive to exceed sales quotas.
Join our team and help us drive our business forward. We offer a competitive compensation package, opportunities for growth and development, and a dynamic work environment where your contributions will be valued and recognized. If you are a seasoned business development professional with a passion for sales and a drive to succeed, we would love to hear from you.
Our client is an established construction organization with a strong reputation and an impressive track record of delivering quality projects for its clients.
Historically, business development has been driven directly by the owner, who has built the company's network and client relationships from the ground up. As the company continues to grow, they are now creating their first dedicated Business Development role.
This is not an account-management position.
Our client is looking for a true business development professional who knows how to hunt for new opportunities, build relationships from scratch, get in front of decision-makers, and ultimately win new business.
The person stepping into this role will have the opportunity to build the company's formal business development strategy and create a repeatable pipeline of new opportunities.
You’ll be responsible for identifying prospective clients and projects, developing relationships, getting the company in front of the right people, and turning those relationships into real opportunities for the construction team.
In short: the business already knows how to build. They need someone who can help build the business.
This is a unique opportunity for a Business Development professional who wants more than another sales territory and a stack of existing accounts.
You’ll be joining at the ground floor of a new function and will have the opportunity to make the role your own.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the hunt — finding the opportunity that nobody else has found yet, getting the meeting that wasn’t already on the calendar, and turning a cold introduction into a new project.
You won’t be inheriting a book of business and being asked to maintain it.
You’ll building the book.
