We’re looking for a high-energy, motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our sales team. This role is pivotal in helping us accelerate pipeline growth by identifying, engaging and qualifying prospective law firms that can benefit from Afinety’s specialized IT solutions.

As the first point of contact, the BDR will play a critical role in educating prospects, sparking interest and setting the stage for deeper sales conversations. The ideal candidate is resourceful, articulate, organized and comfortable with cold outreach. This role reports to the Sales Director and offers the opportunity to grow within a high-performing team.

Location: Remote (U.S.-based)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect & Qualify: Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email and LinkedIn to identify and engage with decision-makers at law firms.
  • Pipeline Development: Generate qualified meetings and opportunities for the sales team through thoughtful, persistent outreach and discovery.
  • CRM & Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions in the CRM.
  • Market Intelligence: Research target accounts and stay current on legal industry trends to personalize outreach and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales Director, Account Executives and the Marketing team to align on territory, messaging and strategic follow-up plans.
  • Performance Tracking: Meet and exceed monthly activity and pipeline generation targets.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in IT, SaaS or MSP environments. Prior experience with legal industry clients is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to persuade and build rapport.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and sales engagement platforms.
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated, coachable, and able to thrive in a remote work environment.
  • Mindset: Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel and spend time with key internal teams and clients (20% of the time)
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
