Job Description

Sell through distribution by actively supporting Highlands’ clients through collaboration with wholesale & distributor sales teams on targeted account & end-user opportunities to drive sales for Highlands and its Clients.

  • Drive sales through distribution by collaborating with distributor sales teams to support Highlands’ clients on targeted end-user opportunities.
  • Partner with wholesale sales teams to promote product placement and actively support Highlands’ clients. Serve as a key resource for product knowledge, training, and sales support to strengthen distributor relationships and expand market reach.
  • Lead the end-user sales process by conducting product demonstrations, ensuring compliance with item specifications, and supporting aligned wholesale & distributor partnerships.
  • Provide sales tools, demonstration videos, and samples to enhance engagement and drive competitive conversions through cross-referencing.
  • Implement client-focused sales and marketing campaigns to generate demand.
  • Identify and record activities and opportunities for each client in the CRM reporting tool to track progress and ensure follow-up.
  • Gather and communicate relevant marketing research on behalf of clients and actively participate in client surveys to support their marketing initiatives.
  • Utilize Tableau sales reporting analytics to effectively manage and optimize the assigned territory.
  • Attend client training sessions to gain a thorough understanding of product features and benefits, ensuring the ability to effectively address customer needs.
  • Contribute to special projects as requested by Highlands or client leadership.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong understanding of B2B sales channels and how they operate is essential.
  • Ability to consistently report sales activities and opportunities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Proven track record of achieving measurable sales goals and taking ownership of outcomes by proactively managing opportunities to ensure timely closure (either closed-won or closed-lost).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills, with the ability to manage effectively via remote tools or in-person interactions.
  • Strong business acumen and the confidence to engage and communicate with key decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to independently initiate and achieve sales goals.
  • Energetic, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic with the drive of a self-starter.
  • Ability to collaborate with designated sales teams while also excelling as an individual contributor.
  • Willing and able to travel for distributor or end-user meetings as necessary for client purposes.
  • Actively participate in client training sessions to deepen product knowledge and support client needs.
  • Capable of managing sample inventory, with the physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in business to business (B2B) outside sales or equivalent
  • Established track record of meeting and exceeding goals
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is favorable
  • Must live in Salt Lake City Territory
