Job Description
The Clinical Site Development Administrator (CSDA) is responsible for acquiring and maintaining clinical placement sites for all programs within the Leavitt School of Health. This position is housed inside the Clinical Learning and Placement Support (CLPS) department. The CSDA will act as a liaison between WGU and agencies to facilitate contracts with specific placement commitments from partnering facilities. Duties include outreach to facilities and organizations to establish and maintain contractual relationships via phone, email, and in person. The position reports to the Clinical Site Development Working Manager (CSDWM).
Location: Applicants must reside east of Charleston, West Virginia, south of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and west of Richmond, Virginia.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other sites for clinical placement programs.
- Research and evaluate potential healthcare sites for future partnership.
- Obtain signatures on contracts between WGU and clinical sites, aligned with course competencies.
- Manage relationships with existing clinical agency partners to ensure satisfaction and successful clinical experiences.
- Identify and address concerns related to clinical experiences, facilitating interventions as needed.
- Create and deliver presentations to hospital and site leaders.
- Develop partnerships with hospital and site educators and leadership for educational services.
- Cultivate relationships to source potential faculty.
- Maintain knowledge of WGU curriculum and clinical placement programs to effectively explain the model to partners.
- Participate in academic planning to secure clinical partnerships ensuring adequate student placements.
- Develop strategic plans for partnership launches, maintenance, and project timelines.
- Communicate consistently with partners to enhance WGU's visibility for educational opportunities.
- Maintain thorough documentation of activities, contacts, and management tasks.
- Meet regularly with the CSDWM to discuss progress toward clinical site acquisition.
- Reflect WGU's mission and cultural beliefs in all actions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Sales techniques and business development knowledge.
- Experience working in healthcare, directly with providers.
- Ability to present to healthcare leaders and develop relationships via phone and in person.
- Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite is desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Business acumen and understanding of organizational challenges.
- Familiarity with project management tools and processes.
- Strategic planning, marketing, and sales knowledge.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Health-related field.
- At least 3 years of successful business development experience, including B2B and B2C.
- Experience making presentations to healthcare leaders.
- Knowledge of Competency-Based Education.
- Ability to research markets independently.
- Willingness to travel 25% or more depending on needs.
- Reside east of Charleston, WV, south of Harrisburg, PA, and west of Richmond, VA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or Health-related field.
- Five or more years in healthcare, directly with providers.
- Experience with project management methodologies and Salesforce.
- Deep understanding of Competency-Based Education and Nursing Education requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting and working at a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to travel independently by various modes of transportation.
