About Permian Coating Supply

Permian Coating Supply is a leading provider of high-performance coatings, industrial-grade abrasives, and surface preparation equipment. Based in Midland, TX, we serve operators, fabricators, and contractors across the Permian Basin with a focus on speed, service, and technical expertise.

Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to grow our presence in the Permian Basin. This role is responsible for developing new business, managing client relationships, and promoting our full range of products, including protective coatings, abrasive materials, and surface preparation equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with oil & gas operators, service companies, applicators, and fabricators in the Permian Basin
  • Promote and sell high-performance coatings, blasting and surface prep equipment, and industrial abrasives
  • Build and maintain relationships with field-level and procurement stakeholders
  • Conduct site visits, product demonstrations, and technical presentations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and product performance
  • Track sales activity and manage pipelines
  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and regional developments
  • Represent the company at local trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings
  • Travel regularly within the region (vehicle provided)
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in Oil & Gas, industrial coatings, or equipment supply
  • Strong understanding of upstream/midstream/downstream operations and regional market dynamics
  • Knowledge of protective coatings, abrasives, or surface preparation technologies preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage a territory independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout West Texas
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with coating applicators, fabrication shops, or industrial contractors
  • Industry certifications (e.g., NACE/AMPP, SSPC)
  • Familiarity with RFQs, coating specifications, or technical sales processes
