What You'll Do (The Blueprint)

  • Act as the face of North Shore Steel, building and nurturing relationships across the Gulf Coast region.
  • Unearth new business opportunities with fabricators, OEMs, and contractors-and convert them into loyal customers.
  • Partner closely with inside sales to deliver smooth, efficient service that exceeds expectations.
  • Scout the landscape for trends in pricing, lead times, and demand-and help us stay one step ahead.
  • Collaborate with leadership to shape sales strategies, forecast trends, and identify target industries.
  • Travel strategically to client sites, conferences, and trade events-always representing our brand with professionalism and pride.

The Ideal Candidate Will Likely Have

  • 5-10 years of business development experience in the metals service center or industrial supply sector.
  • A network of Gulf Coast relationships with OEMs, fabricators, and key decision-makers.
  • A sharp understanding of steel processing-from cut-to-length and CNC, to forming and value-added services.
  • A proven track record of growing territory, smashing quotas, and building long-term partnerships.
  • Mastery in using CRM systems like Salesforce, plus Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering-or enough field savvy to rival one.
