Business Development Representative (AMER - Commercial West)

This position is 100% remote, based in the US or Canada, preferably MST or PST.

Role Overview

We seek an enthusiastic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Sales Development team. Your role involves leading outreach to targeted enterprise accounts, working with marketing, sales, and customer success teams. You will utilize creative tactics to prospect and engage various buyer personas, generating qualified meetings and pipeline for sales.

Responsibilities
  • Execute outbound prospecting initiatives effectively.
  • Conduct discovery conversations with target accounts.
  • Meet or exceed targets for sales opportunities sourced by BDRs.
  • Collaborate on developing targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts.
  • Engage prospects through calls, emails, social media, etc., using Outreach.io.
  • Manage activities and results reporting via Salesforce.
  • Document processes in the GitLab handbook and update as needed.
  • Work with marketing to drive event attendance and engagement.
  • Mentor new BDR hires and collaborate with sales teams on prospecting strategies.
Qualifications
  • Located in MST or PST in US or Canada.
  • Strong phone, listening, and writing skills; positive attitude.
  • Ability to meet KPIs consistently.
  • Self-starter with credible achievements.
  • Knowledge of business processes and organizational structures.
  • Determined, growth-oriented, and passionate about GitLab.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Experience in tech sales, marketing, or sales development is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
