Position Title: Business Development Representative (BDR)

By embedding community features within an app, brands can foster deeper interactions, increase user retention, and unlock new monetization opportunities.

Your Impact:

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you'll play a critical role in fueling our growth by identifying, connecting with, and nurturing the next generation of Social+ customers. You'll be the first point of contact with potential clients, and your work will help shape our go-to-market strategy across key industries.

You'll work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product to ensure we're targeting the right people, with the right message, at the right time.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Strategic Prospecting & Outreach

  • Research and identify ideal client profiles across verticals.

  • Execute outbound campaigns using a multi-channel approach (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, event outreach).

  • Leverage tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, and Salesforce to drive outreach and follow-ups.

  • Maintain active nurturing cadences while focusing on high-value target accounts weekly.

  • Lead discovery calls to understand client needs, challenges, and buying processes.

Pipeline Management

  • Accurately log activities and interactions in our CRM; tools like Gong or similar may assist with auto-transcription.

  • Track KPIs, lead statuses, and engagement outcomes for reporting and improvement.

  • Work closely with marketing to refine ICP and improve targeting with real-time feedback.

  • Always have a game plan—every week, every account.

Market Intelligence

  • Stay informed about the latest in community software, prebuilt SDKs, and APIs for mobile & web apps.

  • Monitor competitors and industry trends to keep outreach sharp and relevant.

  • Sales-Focused: 6–12 months of experience in sales, business development, or outbound prospecting (ideally from start-up and SaaS/tech company)

  • Curious & Tech-Savvy: Quick to understand technical products and how they deliver business value.

  • Open to Travel: Able to travel within or outside of the U.S./Canada as needed.
