Overview

TierPoint is seeking motivated technology sales professionals to join our Business Development Team. Our Business Development Representatives implement multi-channel B2B prospecting strategies, promoting our award-winning Hybrid IT & Cloud solutions.

This role offers a base salary, uncapped performance bonuses, daily and weekly incentives, and a clear career progression path in the thriving field of technology sales.

As a Business Development Representative, you will generate leads primarily through outbound calls and emails, focusing on the Tri-State region, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Qualified candidates must reside within this region.

Responsibilities
  • Create and prioritize strategic account lists within the Tri-State area.
  • Prospect and qualify businesses through outbound calls.
  • Research and update business and contact information in our database.
  • Identify decision-makers, communicate value propositions, and set appointments for our sales team.
  • Follow up as needed to close sales.
  • Drive pipeline growth, new client acquisition, and overall company expansion.
  • Promote TierPoint’s brand and solutions.
  • Deliver excellent internal and external customer service aligned with company values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Strong self-motivation, excellent communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven sales ability with a hunter mentality.
  • Experience in phone-based sales, engaging and converting leads proactively.
  • Professional, ambitious, organized, results-driven.
  • Proficiency with email, Word, Excel, and other MS Office tools.
  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience.
  • Willingness to learn about industry trends, company offerings, and marketplace competition.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in the data center industry is a plus.
Working Conditions
  • Remote position; candidates must reside in the Tri-State region.
Pay Transparency

TierPoint is committed to pay equity and transparency. The listed salary range is $55,500.00 - $90,535.45, subject to factors such as skills, experience, location, and other considerations. This range does not include potential bonuses or commissions.
