Overview

TierPoint is looking for aspiring technology sales professionals to join our Business Development Team. Our Business Development Representatives execute integrated, multichannel B2B prospecting strategies, pitching our award-winning Hybrid IT & Cloud solutions.

This role offers a base salary, uncapped performance-based monthly bonuses, daily and weekly sales incentives, and a clear path for long-term career development in the booming field of technology sales.

Business Development Representatives are articulate rainmaker-type sales professionals responsible for lead generation activities. This position involves primarily outbound calls and some email contact with businesses.

This role focuses solely on outbound leads and accounts, generating demand in the Tri-State region, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Qualified applicants must reside in this region.

Responsibilities
  1. Create and prioritize strategic account lists within the Tri-State area.
  2. Prospect within businesses and qualify them against criteria by initiating outbound calls.
  3. Research and gather business and contact information, updating our database accordingly.
  4. Identify decision-makers, present product and service information, and set up appointments for our sales team.
  5. Provide follow-up activities as needed to close sales.
  6. Drive pipeline growth, new logos, and regional expansion for TierPoint.
  7. Promote TierPoint's brand and offerings.
  8. Deliver quality customer service aligned with company values.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional self-motivation, strong communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven sales aptitude with a hunter mentality.
  • Experience in phone sales, effectively engaging and converting leads through proactive outreach.
  • Professional, ambitious, results-oriented, and goal-driven.
  • Proficiency in email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience demonstrating skill sets.
  • Ability to learn industry knowledge, resources, tools, and marketplace dynamics.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective prioritization and organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Windows applications.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in the data center industry is a plus.

Pay Transparency

TierPoint commits to pay equity and transparency. The salary range listed is indicative and may vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors. The range provided is not inclusive of total potential earnings or bonuses.

Pay Range: $55,500.00 - $90,535.45
