The role of a Business Development Representative at Canonical

If you are organized, persistent, charismatic, and interested in tech and its business impact, this role is for you. You will work with regional sales and marketing teams to identify customer projects that fit our products and promote Canonical across industries and geographies.

Responsibilities
  1. Execute outbound sales & marketing campaigns
  2. Research prospective customers and market trends
  3. Generate high-quality leads for Senior Sellers to build a pipeline
  4. Own and close SMB opportunities in your territory
  5. Collaborate across teams and with senior stakeholders
  6. Help define team processes and policies
  7. Travel to events and conferences worldwide, representing Canonical
Qualifications
  • Success in SDR or outbound sales, exceeding quotas and growing pipelines
  • Experience engaging with senior executives to find opportunities
  • Background in enterprise software or tech sales
  • Strong academic record from high school and university
  • Passion for business and technology
  • Curiosity, flexibility, scientific approach
  • Creative problem solving and teamwork skills
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills
