Job description

The role:

TransVirtual, a leading provider of Transport Management Software (TMS), is looking to complement its sales team with an experienced Business Development Representative (SDR) in the North America market.

This role is a vital link in servicing inquiries, following up on a prospect pipeline, and carefully qualifying businesses to hand over to our Account Executive channel.

You should have a background in building and pursuing a prospect pipeline, with experience in a fast-paced environment with monthly sales quotas. This is a rare opportunity to make your mark in an evolving team.

You’ll be comfortable engaging with decision makers ranging from owner-operators and operational leaders to other senior staff. A self-sufficient, ‘go-getter’ attitude is key, with full sales training and development provided for the right candidate to advance their career.

Your key stakeholders will include our Head of Sales, Account Executive (North America), and our General Manager.

Essential Skills / qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in sales qualification and inquiry follow-up.
  • No fear of making calls – it’s a numbers game!
  • Experience managing a contact pipeline and CRM updates (HubSpot preferred).
  • Positive attitude; sales skills can be developed.
  • Experience working with marketing campaigns to drive effective appointments.
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas with qualified leads.
  • Ability to think quickly and adapt to maximize results.

Desired Skills:

  • Marketing degree or equivalent – maturity in thinking is important.
  • Understanding of logistics sector or SaaS businesses.
  • Strong CRM experience with attention to detail and diligent record keeping.
  • Ability to connect with customers immediately, qualify leads, and coordinate with AE channel.
  • Team player who values collaboration to meet shared goals.
