Overview
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) focused on Franchise Sales, you will be the engine of our growth. You aren't just selling a product; you are selling the dream of business ownership.
Your primary mission is to fuel the top of the sales funnel. You will identify, engage, and qualify high-potential entrepreneurial candidates, introducing them to our brand and managing the initial stages of the discovery process. We are looking for a high-energy "scout" who understands the nuances of the franchise disclosure process and can build immediate rapport with diverse leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Qualification: Proactively identify and reach out to prospective franchisees through cold calling, LinkedIn networking, and industry databases.
- Inbound Management: Rapidly respond to inquiries from portal leads (e.g., FranchiseGator, BizBuySell) and our corporate website.
- Initial Discovery: Conduct high-level "Discovery Calls" to vet candidates on financial qualifications, cultural fit, and passion for the brand.
- Pipeline Velocity: Educate prospects on the brand’s value proposition and move qualified candidates through the initial stages of the sales cycle to the Franchise Development Director.
- CRM Management: Maintain meticulous records in our CRM, ensuring all lead data and touch points are accurate.
- Market Research: Identify target territories for expansion and tailor outreach to those specific geographic regions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Franchise Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working directly for a franchisor. You must understand the basics of the FDD (Franchise Disclosure Document) and the regulatory environment of franchise sales.
- Location: Must be based in Utah.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to sell the vision.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with CRM software and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
What Makes You a Great Fit?
- You have a proven track record of hitting (and exceeding) lead generation quotas.
- You understand the consultative nature of franchise sales; you act as a resource, not just a salesperson.
- You are organized enough to manage a high volume of leads without anyone falling through the cracks.
- You are passionate about the franchising model and are excited to help local (and national) entrepreneurs start their journeys.
