The University of Maryland School of Medicine, Institute of Human Virology (IHV) seeks a Business Development/Proposal Manager to oversee grant planning, narrative development, and reporting for diverse programs.
You will coordinate NIH/CDC submissions, manage budgets and subcontracts, and identify strategic opportunities while ensuring compliance and strong communications with sponsors and leadership.

Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Four (4) years of program oversight includingprogram planning, budget, and coordination. Minimum of 4 years ofgrant writing experience.
Certification/Licensure: Project Management Professional(PMP) Certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of position requirements. Knowledge of all applicablerequirements, regulations, and laws. Experience with a range ofdomestic and international donors as types of sources (government,private, non-profit). Skilled in effective use of applicabletechnology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate both verbaland written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to workcooperatively with others and independently. Ability todemonstrate, understand, apply, and adhere to the UMB Core Valuesof Respect and Integrity, Well-being and Sustainability, Equity andJustice, and Innovation and Discovery.
Hiring Range: $85,000 - $95,000, Commensurate with educationand experience
