Industrial Sales Specialist - South - Data Center

This position reports to: Market Development Manager - Data Center

Your role and responsibilities

The Industrial Sales Specialist will work closely with the largest players in the F&B, Datacenters, Renewable Energy, Water/Wastewater & Infrastructure market segments, building long-term relationships with key stakeholders, securing ABB ELIP products as the preferred solution, and helping drive the profitability growth of the business. The role involves visiting end-user customers and decision makers to understand their needs, applications, and specify ABB's products. The successful candidate will execute the market plan, report, and maintain contact with the Market Development Manager.

This is a remote position, ideally located in the North Carolina - Virginia - DC region, contributing to the Electrification Installation Products Division in the South Region.

Main responsibilities include:
  1. Market: Understand customer needs, propose solutions from ABB ELIP portfolio, support sales team in delivering value propositions, and provide market intelligence for new opportunities.
  2. Customer Relations: Build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and growth.
  3. Specification: Develop relationships with end-users, engineering firms, OEMs, and other decision makers to achieve specifications for ABB ELIP products.
  4. Training: Provide technical support and training to stakeholders internally and externally.
  5. Sales: Collaborate with internal teams to implement commercial strategies and achieve sales targets.
Qualifications
  • BS/BA in business, marketing, engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years in technical specification/product marketing in the electrical industry, preferably in Transportation & Industrial OEM markets.
  • Proven track record in customer/business development and relations.
  • Understanding of product portfolio application in market segments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willing to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Work authorization for the US.
