Industrial Sales Specialist - South - Data Center

This position reports to:

Market Development Manager - Data Center

Your role and responsibilities

The Industrial Sales Specialist will work closely with the largest players in the F&B, Data Centers, Renewable Energy, Water/Wastewater & Infrastructure market segments, building long-term relationships with key stakeholders, securing ABB ELIP products as the preferred solution, and helping drive profitability growth. The role involves frequent visits to end-user customers and decision-makers to understand needs, applications, and specify ABB products. The successful candidate will execute the market plan, report, and maintain contact with the Market Development Manager.

This is a remote position, ideally located in the North Carolina - Virginia - DC region, contributing to the Electrification Installation Products Division in the South Region.

Main accountabilities include:

  1. Market: Understand segment customer needs, propose solutions from ABB ELIP portfolio, support sales team in delivering value propositions, research market trends, provide intelligence to support new opportunities and channels.
  2. Customer Relations and Satisfaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and growth.
  3. Specification: Develop relationships with new end-users, engineering firms, OEMs, to achieve specifications for ABB ELIP products.
  4. Training: Deliver technical support and training to stakeholders both externally and internally.
  5. Sales: Collaborate with internal teams to implement strategies and achieve sales targets.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in business, marketing, engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years in technical specification/product marketing in the electrical industry, preferably in Transportation & Industrial OEM markets.
  • Proven experience in new customer/business development and strong customer relations.
  • Ability to understand and apply the product portfolio for value-added solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willing to travel approximately 50%.
  • Work authorization for the US is required.
