Summary:
This role offers a unique opportunity for recent Ph.D. graduates or postdoctoral scientists in biology-related fields to transition from laboratory research to business development. The position focuses on leveraging scientific expertise to drive business growth in areas such as immuno-oncology, animal model gene engineering, and preclinical pharmacology. The successful candidate will engage with clients, communicate complex scientific concepts, and contribute to expanding the reach of innovative products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Develop expertise in scientific and business aspects of immuno-oncology, animal model gene engineering, and preclinical pharmacology.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by reaching out to potential clients and managing the sales process from initial contact to contract closure.
- Participate in industry conferences and trade shows to represent the organization and build professional networks.
- Collaborate with marketing to enhance brand visibility and awareness in the marketplace.
- Engage in technical discussions with clients, clearly communicating scientific concepts and solutions.
- Utilize hands-on experience with in vivo mouse models, pharmacology, and rodent handling to inform client interactions and product positioning.
- Support the development and execution of business strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Travel as needed for customer meetings, training, and industry events.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in a bioscience field (such as metabolic, diabetic, or pharmacology disciplines) is required.
- Recent Ph.D. graduates or those with 1-3 years of postdoctoral experience are encouraged to apply.
- Hands-on experience with in vivo mouse models, pharmacology, murine or rodent handling, and wet lab techniques is essential.
- Strong interest in learning about advances in biopharmaceutical science and business development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
- Comfortable engaging in technical discussions in client-facing settings.
- Enjoys networking with professionals in the biotech and biopharma sectors.
- Proven track record of revenue generation is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, conferences, and training.
- Mandarin language skills are highly preferred.
