We are looking for a Business Development Manager, Expert Partners in 401 N Michigan Ave, Suite 1400, Chicago, IL 60601 USA. Your mission will be to:
This position requires knowledge in Food testing, regulation, or consulting, typically obtained from a degree in Food Science or by working in the food or adjacent industries to understand the complexity of the services provided by Merieux NutriSciences.
The incumbent is responsible for profitable revenue growth for Expert Partners within the United States, specifically or including Consulting, Training Digital Solutions, Label Compliance and Regulatory Services, utilizing expansion of existing clients, price increases, new business through market development, heavy prospecting, and value added selling of Merieux NutriSciences complete portfolio.
YOUR PROFILE
This position requires knowledge in Food testing, regulation, or consulting, typically obtained from a degree in Food Science or by working in the food or adjacent industries to understand the complexity of the services provided by Merieux NutriSciences.
Knowledge & Skill
Strong knowledge of sales techniques is helpful in presenting information to potential clients. Experience in food science, food safety, food processing, or food quality assurance is recommended to identify with the concerns and challenges of clients and potential clients. Working knowledge of computers, Google suite, and Microsoft software products is essential for performing duties. Good organizational skills and time management are essential to perform assigned tasks. Strong interpersonal communication skills are critical in order to promote company services and programs, identify and respond to clients and potential client's needs, and to build professional relationships.
Job Complexity
This position makes frequent calls to clients and potential clients to determine their needs and interest level in Merieux NutriSciences products and services, and to further qualify and segment leads and develop proposals. In order to provide quality service, information given to clients must be accurate and current. The position responds to clients and prospects' questions of a routine nature. The position may receive more complex questions that may require some research and follow-up. The position will need to keep abreast of new and developing product and test information to ensure potential clients are not receiving information that is outdated or inaccurate. Data sources typically used to solve problems include discussions with the Expert Services team, industry experts, and written documentation on service and product lines. Work results are reviewed frequently by the Director and Executive Management.
Compensation Range:
$94,000 - $104,000
Potential bonus: Up to 20% based on performance.
