Job summary

SQDC Recruiting and Consulting LLC is partnering with a US leader in plastics design, extrusion, and fabrication to recruit a Business Development Manager. The role focuses on growing new business and managing key accounts from a remote location in the Eastern US.

You will travel 20–25% for customer visits and periodic facility visits, balancing new opportunities with existing account growth while leveraging a technical background to win in pharmaceutical, packaging, and engineered solutions

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business to business sales or business development experience preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, retail/distribution, or related packaging/engineered solutions markets is a plus.
• Engineering or technical background is a plus for customer-facing roles.
• Comfortable balancing new business development with growing existing accounts.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote, low oversight environment.
• Strong follow up and prospecting skills with the ability to prioritize high-value opportunities.
• Willingness to travel approx. 20–25%, including customer visits and periodic trips to a Midwest facility.
• Remote role (must reside in the Eastern US).

• 5+ years of business to business sales or business development experience preferred; will consider less experienced candidates with the right drive and personality
• Experience in pharmaceutical, retail/distribution, or related packaging/engineered solutions markets a plus
• Engineering or technical background a plus, especially for candidates with strong customer facing experience
• Comfortable balancing new business development with managing and growing existing accounts
• Self motivated and able to work independently in a remote, low oversight environment
• Strong follow up and prospecting skills, with the ability to prioritize the highest value opportunities
• Willingness to travel approximately 20 to 25%, including customer visits and periodic trips to a company facility in the Midwest
• Remote role (must reside in the Eastern US, ideally in the Southeast or Mid Atlantic/Northeast region)
