Job description

We are a boutique staffing firm backed by Archwell Capital, and we are hiring an accomplished staffing sales professional to lead our next stage of growth. You will win new clients, grow those relationships, and ultimately build a sales team across multiple U.S. markets.

Our practice areas:

  • Financial Services Operations
  • Legal
  • Technology
  • Executive Search
  • Corporate Operations — finance, accounting, human resources, and administrative leadership

This role is built to produce first and lead second. For the first 12 to 24 months, your focus is developing new client relationships, generating profitable revenue, and establishing a book of business across these areas. As that book grows, the role is designed to become a sales leadership seat responsible for hiring, coaching, and developing producers across multiple markets. The timing of that transition will track your production and your effectiveness in developing others.

Phase One: Win New Clients and Build the Book

The first one to two years are hands-on. You own the creation of a profitable client portfolio and the sales practices that will later support a team.

  • Originate new client relationships. Identify and pursue target accounts across our practice areas. Reach decision-makers through disciplined prospecting, networking, referrals, and direct outreach, and carry relationships from first contact through signed agreement, active requirements, and revenue-producing placements.
  • Own the full sales cycle. Lead discovery, understand hiring priorities and business challenges, position the right staffing solution, work through objections, and negotiate commercially sound agreements. Build credibility with hiring managers, senior leaders, HR, talent acquisition, and procurement.
  • Expand the accounts you win. Convert initial wins into repeat business by delivering a strong client experience and surfacing hiring needs across other departments, business units, and locations.
  • Partner closely with recruiting. Qualify opportunities, communicate requirements clearly, set realistic expectations, and work with the delivery team to turn job orders into placements that hold. Own the client relationship end to end, including when something goes wrong.
  • Run a disciplined pipeline. Keep accurate records, a well-qualified pipeline, consistent follow-up, and reliable forecasts. Own revenue and gross profit growth, exercise sound pricing judgment, and document what works so it can be taught later.
Phase Two: Build and Lead a Multi-Market Sales Team

As production establishes a foundation for expansion, you take on responsibility for building the sales organization. The transition follows a player-coach model: you stay involved in key client relationships while taking on hands-on coaching, and the balance shifts as the team grows.

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop sales talent. Work with leadership to identify strong salespeople, set clear expectations, and help new hires build pipeline and reach productivity.
  • Coach through direct involvement. Teach prospecting, discovery, relationship development, objection handling, negotiation, and account expansion through joint calls, meeting prep, role-play, and specific feedback, both remotely and in person.
  • Turn your own success into a repeatable approach. Build playbooks, onboarding materials, and account planning practices that work across different markets and practice areas, not only in your personal selling style.
  • Establish accountability. Set activity and production expectations, run meaningful pipeline reviews, catch performance gaps early, and coach toward improvement. Work with leadership to prioritize markets and keep sales growth aligned with delivery capacity.
What You Bring
  • 10+ years in the staffing industry with a demonstrated record of sales, business development, and client relationship growth. Experience in one or more of our practice areas is preferred.
  • New business you personally originated. You can point to specific accounts you opened and explain how you gained access, won the first opportunity, and built the relationship from there.
  • A record of profitable account growth. You have converted initial placements into repeat business, broader relationships, and sustained revenue and gross profit.
  • Experience developing other salespeople. You have helped colleagues improve their execution and results through hands-on guidance and direct feedback. A management title is not required.
  • Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills. You can uncover needs, engage decision-makers, navigate purchasing processes, and structure agreements that stay profitable.
  • The discipline for a remote, self-directed role. You are organized, proactive, and comfortable building business without an established pipeline or heavy support infrastructure. You use a CRM consistently and keep forecasts accurate.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for client meetings, market visits, and team development.
How Success Is Measured

In the producer phase: new clients originated and activated, revenue and gross profit generated, repeat business and account expansion, client retention, and pipeline quality. The goal is productive client relationships, not signed agreements that never convert.

As the role expands: your ability to onboard and develop salespeople, lift individual and team performance, and establish consistent execution across markets.

Who Will Thrive Here

You like winning a client that has never heard of your firm, earning trust through execution, and turning a first opportunity into a long-term relationship. You want to build your own book, and you also want to teach other people how to do it. You would rather help shape how a boutique firm grows than manage an inherited territory at a large one.
