Business Development Manager – East Coast (Remote)

Location: Remote (Candidate must be based in or near Boston, New York City, Washington D.C., New Jersey, or Philadelphia)

About the role
:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for the East Coast region, focused on the US real estate market. This is a remote position, but the ideal candidate must be based in or near one of the following metropolitan areas: Boston, New York City, Washington D.C., New Jersey, or Philadelphia. The role is pivotal in driving business growth, primarily focusing on the real estate market and sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a strong understanding of US real estate dynamics, and a passion for sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to target and acquire new real estate clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Identify and proactively pursue new business opportunities through research and outreach.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and responses to RFPs.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring alignment with client and company goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, updates, and performance reports to senior management.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to expand the company’s presence and network.
  • Stay informed about market trends, sustainability issues, and the evolving real estate landscape.
  • Continuously improve sales techniques and strategies based on feedback and performance data.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in sales/business development, with a focus on real estate and sustainability sectors.
  • Skills: Strong sales acumen demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets, and a robust network within the US real estate community.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of climate change, sustainability, and their impact on property investment.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 50-75% within the East Coast region (no international travel required).
  • Location: Based in or near major East Coast metropolitan areas ((Boston, New York City, Washington D.C., New Jersey, Philadelphia).
  • Strong knowledge of climate change and the built environment.
  • Understanding of sustainability and energy efficiency services and their impact on property investment.
  • Outstanding communication skills and manners.
