Phelps, a 400+ lawyer firm with 16 offices across the U.S. and London, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Development ("BD") Manager to join our Marketing and Business Development team. This position reports directly to the Director of Business Development, but works closely with the Chief Client Development Officer, Senior Managers, as well as the entire Client Development Team. BD Managers collaborate closely and often with practice and working group leaders, lawyers at all levels and across administrative departments to support a variety of business development initiatives, including strategic planning, pitches and proposals, competitive intelligence, experience management, among others. Successful candidates will have 5+ years of experience in business development for an AmLaw 200 law firm, be quick learners, team players with excellent communication and organizational skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PPT and Word, and exceptional aptitude working with CRM, experience management and new technologies.
