Location: Mission, Kansas, Kansas City Metro
Work Type: Full-time, hybrid / in-office preferred
Compensation: $65,000 to $80,000 base salary, plus performance bonus
Start Date: Immediate
SoftDoes is a custom software development company based in Mission, Kansas. We build web applications, mobile apps, AI integrations, dashboards, automation systems, and custom software platforms for clients across healthcare, real estate, fintech, construction, and other business sectors.
We are a growing company with a strong technical delivery team, an established client base. We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to help us build a stronger, more predictable sales pipeline outside marketplace platforms. This is an early sales leadership role. You will not be stepping into a large corporate sales department with a finished playbook. You will help create the sales engine, improve the process, build new channels, and eventually help grow the sales team.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable selling custom software and technical services to business owners, founders, CTOs, product managers, and operations leaders. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, qualifying prospects, running discovery calls, coordinating with our technical team, helping shape proposals, and moving deals toward close. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys building systems from the ground up, can work independently, and understands how to translate technical capabilities into clear business value for clients.
In the first month, you will learn our business, review current sales conversations, understand our service offerings, meet the technical team, and get familiar with how we currently scope and close projects. Over the next few months, you will begin taking ownership of qualification calls, client discovery, outbound outreach, CRM discipline, sales collateral, and new pipeline development.
Long term, you will help build repeatable sales processes, develop referral and partnership channels, create industry-specific outreach strategies, and support the growth of a future sales team.
We are looking for someone with B2B sales experience, ideally in software development, technology services, consulting, SaaS, IT services, or a related field. You should be comfortable selling custom solutions, not just fixed products. You should understand how to ask good discovery questions, identify business pain, explain technical concepts clearly, and move deals forward without needing constant direction. You do not need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable discussing topics like APIs, databases, cloud platforms, AI tools, automation, software integrations, and web or mobile application development at a business level.
