Nurture Care is seeking an energetic Business Development Manager to grow our referral network in Northern Virginia. This field-based role focuses on meeting referral partners, developing new business, and representing Nurture Care to connect families with home care.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in business development or sales within healthcare or home-care, with strong communication and networking skills. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

• Business development in healthcare or home-care related fields is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify new referral partners – hospitals, rehab centers, assisted-living facilities, physician groups, and community organizations.
• Cultivate relationships – conduct on-site visits, Lunch-and-Learns, presentations, and networking events to build trust.
• Educate and position solutions – clearly communicate how NurtureCare improves outcomes and supports family caregivers.
• Collaborate on marketing – work with marketing to craft brochures, digital content, and slide decks.
• Track market intel – monitor competitor activity and industry trends; share insights with leadership.
• Generate and qualify leads – use cold calling, email, LinkedIn, and community outreach to fill the pipeline.
• Partner with care coordination – ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing satisfaction; troubleshoot issues.
• Log every touchpoint – maintain accurate notes in our CRM for team alignment.
• Hit and beat goals – meet monthly referral, revenue, and growth targets with confidence.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Nurture Care is seeking an energetic, relationship-focused Business Development Manager to grow our referral network and strengthen trusted relationships throughout Northern Virginia. This is a field-based growth role. The successful candidate will spend most of their time meeting referral partners, developing new business, representing Nurture Care professionally, and helping families connect with the home care they need.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. Identify new referral partners – hospitals, rehab centers, assisted‑living facilities, physician groups, and community organizations.

6. Generate & qualify leads – leverage cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and community outreach to fill the pipeline with qualified clients.
7. Partner with care coordination – ensure seamless client onboarding and ongoing satisfaction; troubleshoot issues quickly.
8. Log every touchpoint – maintain accurate, timely notes in our CRM so the whole team stays aligned.
9. Hit (and beat) goals – meet monthly referral, revenue, and growth targets with confidence and creativity.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Strong communication, networking, follow-up, organization, and relationship-building skills. A self-starter who is comfortable in the field and motivated by measurable goals. Business development in home care, senior living, referral marketing, community outreach, or sales experience is strongly preferred. Reliable transportation, a valid driver license, and active automobile insurance are required. Digital marketing or social media experience is a plus, but the core of the position is community partnership development and field outreach.

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY

Strong performance is expected to produce earnings of approximately $100K+ through the $80,000 base salary and uncapped monthly growth commission. Full calculation, verification, and payout details are provided to finalists and included with the offer.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
• 2+ years’ success in business development, sales, or community outreach—healthcare or home‑care industry strongly preferred
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; you thrive on meeting new people
• Self‑starter who loves setting strategies and executing the details
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/Sales platforms
• Reliable transportation for frequent local travel; valid driver’s license
• Passion for improving lives and representing services that make a difference
