Business Development Leader

Location: Albany, NY area (Remote + Travel)

Ideal candidate will reside in the Albany area but must be located in the Northeast for this position. Will cover sales in the northeastern territory and must live close to a major airport.

Salary: Up to $100,000 per year plus commission based on experience.

Job Purpose:

The Business Development Director (Inpatient) will drive new business development and client solutions for PMC’s service lines, focusing on sales of management contracts, behavioral health integration, and consulting services.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales and marketing initiatives for PMC’s services.
  • Implement sales strategies in the designated region.
  • Achieve sales goals and revenue targets.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships and client relationships.
  • Support contract transitions and ongoing client support.
  • Conduct operational assessments, feasibility studies, and consulting.
  • Manage sales opportunities within the territory.
  • Prospect for new clients and expand business.
  • Develop call strategies for key states.
  • Perform cold calls to build a pipeline.
  • Meet with potential clients, including hospital CEOs.
  • Collaborate with the development team on proposals.
  • Handle objections and negotiate effectively.
  • Attend meetings, training, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, aiming for at least three contracts in the first year.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health or business; Master’s preferred.
  • 10 years of healthcare sales experience, with 5 years in contract management.
  • Experience selling to hospital CEOs and knowledge of inpatient/outpatient mental health.
  • Understanding of hospital industry, CON processes, and healthcare regulations.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with SharePoint/OneDrive.
  • Self-reliant, results-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
