Job summary

Desert Haven Enterprises in California is seeking a business development leader to expand contracted work and services for individuals with disabilities. The role will research market areas, solicit opportunities, and coordinate bids and onboarding of new crews in the Work Readiness Program.

You will build partnerships in the Antelope and Santa Clarita Valleys, oversee a development team, and ensure contracts are maintained.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
• Minimum three years supervisory/management experience.
• Sales experience, contract procurement/development, and contract maintenance experience a must.
• Knowledge of government contracts is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for building partnerships with business and industry within the Antelope and Santa Clarita Valleys.
• Acquire new contracted work/vocational training opportunities for persons with disabilities engaged in vocational training on supported crews (1:3 ratio) within the Work Readiness Program.
• Maintenance of established contracts and relationships with clients.
• Create/build a contract procurement/business development sales team for acquiring new opportunities.
