Job summary

Q-Lab Corporation is seeking a Director of Business Development to oversee profitability across all Test Services locations and generate new business. This onsite role reports to the COO and leads the Test Services team, coaching managers to drive engagement and success.

You will collaborate with the VP of Sales/Marketing to expand programs, refine pricing, and ensure cost-effective operations. Relocation assistance is available and travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in engineering, chemistry, biology, physics, or materials science.
• Proven sales/marketing success with new business development.
• Experience coaching and mentoring managers.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and lead Test Services team; coach/subordinate managers.
• Collaborate with VP of Sales/Marketing to grow sales and programs.
• Propose pricing updates based on cost and profitability.
• Hold regular meetings with staff supervisors to address needs.
• Oversee performance reviews and staff growth opportunities.
• Provide business updates to teams; coordinate recruitment.
• Plan team-building events; respond to engagement feedback.
• Monitor capital budgeting and home-office collaboration.
• Support R&D evaluation and sales of other Q-Lab products.
• Drive short- and long-term Test Services growth strategies.
