Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new C-UAS opportunities across defense, federal government, critical infrastructure, and priority markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government customers, defense organizations, primes, integrators, and partners.
  • Develop and manage a qualified pipeline from identification through capture and award.
  • Monitor procurement activity, RFIs, sources sought notices, and contract vehicles relevant to C-UAS.
  • Engage customers to understand operational requirements and procurement priorities.
  • Support capture strategy, teaming decisions, proposals, and responses to opportunities.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to communicate product capabilities and align with customer needs.
  • Identify teaming arrangements, channel opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
  • Represent Space-Eyes at industry events, meetings, demonstrations, and conferences.
  • Maintain pipeline, customer, and competitive intelligence; provide leadership with updates.

Business Development – Counter-UAS (C-UAS)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Development professional to drive growth and market development for our Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) capabilities.

This role will focus on identifying and developing opportunities across the U.S. Department of Defense, federal agencies, critical infrastructure, and strategic industry partners. The ideal candidate understands the defense technology market, has experience developing relationships with government and industry stakeholders, and can help translate customer requirements into actionable business opportunities.

The Business Development Manager will work closely with company leadership, technical teams, and external partners to build pipeline, pursue opportunities, and support the company's growth in the rapidly evolving C-UAS market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new C-UAS business opportunities across defense, federal government, critical infrastructure, and other priority markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government customers, defense organizations, prime contractors, integrators, and strategic partners.
  • Develop and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities from initial identification through capture and award.
  • Monitor government procurement activity, solicitations, RFIs, Sources Sought notices, contract vehicles, and emerging requirements relevant to C-UAS.
  • Engage prospective customers to understand operational requirements, procurement priorities, and capability needs.
  • Support capture strategy, teaming decisions, proposal development, and responses to government opportunities.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to communicate product capabilities accurately and align solutions with customer requirements.
  • Identify potential teaming arrangements, channel opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
  • Represent the company at industry events, government meetings, demonstrations, conferences, and customer engagements.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, opportunity, customer, and competitive intelligence.
  • Track C-UAS market developments, procurement trends, competitors, and emerging customer requirements.
  • Provide leadership with regular updates on pipeline development, customer activity, and priority opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, capture, sales, or government contracting within defense, aerospace, national security, or a related technology market.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. Department of Defense and federal government procurement environment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with government and industry stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify, qualify, and advance complex business opportunities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand technical products and communicate their value to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for customer meetings, demonstrations, conferences, and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience in the Counter-UAS (C-UAS), UAS, air defense, electronic warfare, or related defense technology market.
  • Existing relationships across DoD, federal agencies, defense primes, integrators, or C-UAS stakeholders.
  • Experience with government capture and proposal processes.
  • Familiarity with federal contract vehicles, IDIQs, OTAs, SBIR/STTR programs, and other defense acquisition pathways.
  • Experience developing teaming relationships with defense primes, systems integrators, and technology partners.
  • Experience supporting demonstrations, evaluations, or government technology programs.
