Recognized as a Top Workplace by the Tampa Bay Times from 2022–2026, OWT Global specializes in deployed Field Services, Engineering Support, RDT&E, Technical Program & Project Management, logistics, maintenance, training, and operational support for advanced technologies and mission systems across Unmanned Systems (UxS), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), and Air Domain Awareness & Defense (ADAD) mission areas.

Our unique services-first and vendor-agnostic approach provides customers with dedication, quality, flexibility, and reliability from a partner that prioritizes mission success above all else. OWT Global proudly supports the DoW SkillBridge Program, helping transitioning service members move into civilian careers. With a workforce comprised of more than 90% veterans from the very operational communities we support, our team brings unmatched mission understanding, operational experience, and technical expertise to every effort.

Position Overview

OWT Global is seeking a Business Development Lead to support strategic Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) growth initiatives across its Air Domain Awareness & Defense (ADAD) directorate and related mission areas within the Department of War (DoW), Intelligence Community (IC), and federal government.

This role is responsible for identifying, shaping, and advancing new business opportunities that align with OWT Global's strategic growth objectives. The Business Development Lead will engage directly with government stakeholders, industry partners, and mission operators to understand emerging requirements, influence acquisition strategies, develop strategic relationships, and position the company for long-term success.

While the primary focus of this position is business development, customer engagement, and opportunity shaping, the selected candidate will also be expected to lead select opportunities through the capture lifecycle. This includes developing pursuit strategies, coordinating internal resources, supporting solution development, and guiding qualified opportunities from early shaping through proposal submission and contract award. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building relationships in the market, identifying future opportunities, and executing disciplined capture activities on strategic pursuits.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of defense and national security markets, federal acquisition environments, and customer mission needs. This individual will serve as a trusted representative of OWT Global, helping drive market awareness, customer engagement, strategic partnerships, and pipeline development across priority mission areas.

The selected candidate should possess familiarity with the evolving ADAD and C-UAS mission space, including airspace awareness, detection, tracking, airspace coordination, layered defense architectures, and emerging operational concepts supporting fixed-site, expeditionary, and enterprise-level operations.

This is a high-visibility, customer-facing role that will play a critical part in shaping OWT Global's future growth strategy and expanding our presence across defense and national security markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives and mission-area priorities
  • Identify, qualify, and shape new opportunities across DWD, IC, and federal government customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with government decision-makers, program offices, operational users, acquisition stakeholders, and industry partners
  • Represent OWT Global at customer meetings, industry events, conferences, demonstrations, and strategic engagements
  • Maintain awareness of customer priorities, emerging requirements, funding activities, acquisition strategies, and competitive landscapes
  • Support pipeline development, opportunity forecasting, and strategic account planning activities
  • Drive early opportunity shaping efforts through customer engagement, market intelligence, and mission-focused solution development
  • Coordinate with operational, engineering, and technical teams to align customer requirements with company capabilities
  • Support development of strategic growth artifacts including capability briefings, white papers, RFI responses, concept papers, and customer-facing presentations
  • Develop and manage strategic teaming relationships, technology partnerships, and industry collaborations
  • Provide market assessments, competitive analysis, and strategic recommendations to company leadership
  • Support transition of qualified opportunities into capture and proposal activities while remaining engaged throughout the pursuit lifecycle
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, operational requirements, acquisition trends, and competitor positioning within ADAD, C-UAS, UxS, and C5ISR mission areas
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to identify new markets, customers, and growth initiatives
