LJA Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support client engagement, opportunity tracking, and internal coordination across multiple service lines in Houston. You will help drive growth by locating opportunities, maintaining CRM data, and ensuring smooth cross‑team collaboration.

The role offers hands‑on exposure to BD processes, event planning, and a supportive leadership team focused on collaboration, professional development, and employee ownership.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in business administration, sales or relevant field.
• 2+ years’ experience in business development and/or marketing.
• Basic understanding of BD processes and workflows.
• Creative experience (InDesign, Photoshop, Office, etc).
• Attention to detail / consistent, ability to multi‑task.
• Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner.
• Editing and writing experience, strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities by monitoring public sources and logging potential opportunities.
• Maintain CRM with client, project, and contact data.
• Coordinate between marketing and BD on RFQ pursuits, awards, and go-no meetings.
• Coordinate and deliver holiday gifts and client meetings.
• Coordinate client lists for corporate events and memberships.
• Attend BD meetings and manage tasks/pursuits spreadsheet.
• Support BD events from planning to execution.
