About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Business Developer to represent YOUNG in the US and lead our early-stage expansion in the region.

You’ll play a key role in establishing our first holding presence in the US, launching the first YOUNG Workspaces location in NYC, and supporting the rollout of upcoming ventures like YOUNG Coffee and YOUNG Hotels. At the same time, you'll help us build a strong local network of co-founders, partners, and opportunities.

You will be the first YOUNG team member on the ground in NYC, working closely with our European HQ.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the local representative of YOUNG in the US.
  • Scout new business opportunities, partnerships, and real estate deals.
  • Lead or support the launch of YOUNG Workspaces and future ventures.
  • Identify and approach potential co-founders, operators, and collaborators.
  • Represent YOUNG at local events, meetings, and within the startup/hospitality ecosystem.
  • Ensure regular follow-up and alignment with the Holding team in Europe.
Ideal Profile
  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, real estate, startups, or venture building.
  • Based in New York City, with strong local knowledge and network.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit — autonomous, ambitious, and resourceful.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Passion for hospitality, design, lifestyle, or purpose-driven brands.
  • Fluent in English (Spanish or Dutch is a plus).
  • Aligned with YOUNG’s values: bold, curious, human.
Contract & Compensation

This is a freelance / independent contractor role, designed for the initial expansion phase of YOUNG in the USA.

Until we establish a local legal entity, the contract will be managed from our Holding.

We’re looking for someone ready to grow with us — this role could evolve into a full-time position once the structure is in place.

Compensation range: USD $2,300 – $2,800 / month for 20 hours per week, depending on experience and value added.
