Job summary

Evertec, a leading technology firm in Puerto Rico, is looking for a professional to handle Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning. In this role, you will validate disaster recovery plans, test strategies, and document incidents to improve future responses.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 2–4 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in English and Spanish is required. The company offers medical insurance and a collaborative work culture focused on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Validate disaster recovery plans for critical assets such as systems and applications
• Test documented disaster recovery strategies and plans
• Document incidents and lessons learned to improve recovery strategies and monitor resolution
• Analyze business impact and enterprise risk to identify essential business functions and systems
• Evaluate and recommend recovery time objectives and resource requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related area
• Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Knowledge of Business Continuity concepts, BIA, BCRA, disaster recovery strategies and planning tools
• English and Spanish proficiency (written and verbal)

Work hours

Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Available to work extended hours, weekends, and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required to support projects in the region.
