Business Development Manager – (Mobile Device Protection) Position Overview
The Business Development Manager for MX Care+ plays a pivotal role in driving category management and strategic sales channel partnerships for mobile device protection product lines. This position blends business analysis, financial modeling, and high-level stakeholder management to craft data-driven presentations, build financial simulations, and optimize sales strategies across partner channels. This is a fully onsite position requiring an analytical, detail-oriented leader who can seamlessly bridge internal leadership, cross-functional teams, and external retail/telecom partners.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Presentation & Financial Strategy Support
- Executive Presentation Development: Design and build visually compelling, data-driven slide decks for internal executive reviews and external channel partner meetings.
- Financial Modeling & Simulation: Create robust financial models and simulations to support Care+ expansion, ensuring clarity and accuracy in profitability, revenue projections, and pricing strategies.
- Market & Competitor Intelligence: Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and market research to identify trends, benchmark offerings, and inform strategic growth initiatives.
- 2. Category Management & Sales Channel Ownership
- Partner Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key sales channel partners, fostering strong alignment on category growth and product strategies.
- Digital Merchandising & Conversion: Oversee digital merchandising efforts across sales touchpoints, optimizing product placement, visibility, and the end-to-end consumer purchase journey to maximize conversion.
- Sales Forecasting & Margin Tracking: Develop and execute sales forecasting models to predict market trends and optimize inventory. Rigorously track sales performance, pricing models, and profit margins to hit target metrics.
- Partner Marketing & Training Enablement: Drive joint marketing campaigns and partner training programs to empower channel teams and fuel long-term category expansion.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record of managing relationships across cross-functional internal teams and external commercial partners.
- Business Analysis & Data Translation: Demonstrated strength in business analysis, data interpretation, and translating complex quantitative metrics into actionable business insights.
- Presentation & Financial Modeling Skills: Hands-on experience developing executive-level presentations (Advanced PowerPoint) and building financial models (Advanced Excel).
- Software Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and familiarity with BI/Data Visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Multi-Project Execution: Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes initiatives simultaneously while maintaining meticulous detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Background: Prior experience in device protection, extended warranty, insurance, telecommunications, or consumer electronics sectors.
- Channel Management: Strong understanding of retail/carrier sales channel dynamics and co-marketing partner execution.
