You will work with the dental team to verify insurance, prepare cost estimates, process payments, and maintain accurate patient records. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Business or administrative experience in a dental office preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing dental practice management systems and office software.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and create a welcoming, positive experience.
  • Manage incoming calls and schedule patient appointments.
  • Manage the daily schedule and support efficient patient flow.
  • Verify insurance benefits and explain coverage to patients.
  • Process payments, copays, and outstanding balances.
  • Provide patients with accurate treatment cost estimates and financial information.
  • Assist with billing, coding, and insurance claim submissions.
  • Communicate treatment plans and financial information clearly and professionally.
  • Address and resolve patient questions and concerns professionally, escalating to the Office Manager when appropriate.
  • Order and restock office supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Work closely with the dental team to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
  • Support additional administrative and operational needs of the practice as needed.

As a Business Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth and efficient functioningof the dental practice’s administrative and business operations.
